H. Butting GmbH & Co. KG
Knesebeck, Germany
In August 2018, one of the most important production areas of BUTTING's stainless steel pipe production in Knesebeck, the pipe pickling line, burnt down. Just a few days after the catastrophic fire, planning began for the construction of a new pickling line. Since then, many decisions had to be made - from the selection of the pickling process and the choice of location to structural aspects relating to the hall and, of course, the selection of suppliers for the new encapsulated tube pickling plant.
Not least because of KVK-Koerner's expertise in this area and its excellent references such as Tubacex and Voest Alpine Aerospace, BUTTING quickly made this decision.
The fact that KVK-Koerner containers, unlike pickling containers made of PP and PE, are fire-retardant in accordance with class B1 was also a not insignificant factor in the decision.
Despite the Covid crisis, BUTTING was able to put the new pipe pickling line into operation at the end of November 2020, just two years later. This means that BUTTING can now once again supply its customers with the tried-and-tested quality and performance.
