Additional equipment for pickling tanks

KVK Koerner offers special equipment for galvanising plants, for the pipe industry and pickling plants for stainless steel and non-ferrous metals.

We offer a wide range of additional equipment for your pickling tanks

  • Protection plates for tank walls and bottoms
  • Chemical-resistant lids
  • Maintenance walkway plates
  • Pipe bundle separator
  • Inclined tank bottom
  • Acid-resistant support angles
  • Cross beam support
  • Pump sump for residual discharge
  • Integrated suction channels / push-pull systems
  • Integrated overflow weir
  • Mobile weir
  • Acid-resistant coating
  • Heat exchanger / heating plates / cooling plates
  • KVK heating plates / heat exchangers

Increase the efficiency of your pre-treatment baths with KVK heating plates. Efficient heating and cooling of degreasing agents, acids and other process chemicals.

  • Protective plates for tank walls and bottom

Additional protective plates (on the tank walls) or wear plates (on the tank bottom) can be used for pickling tanks subject to high mechanical stress (e.g. double dipping).

This additional guard protects the tanks very well against mechanical damage and makes the tanks practically maintenance-free.

  • Special coatings: Durable protection for industrial plants

KVK coatings protect concrete and steel structures from chemical corrosion caused by acids and alkalis.

  • KVK maintenance walkway plates

To prevent the pickling chemicals from being carried over or dripping into the cellar area (installation pit), KVK maintenance walkway plates can be fitted along the tanks instead of gratings.

The walkway plates are chemical-resistant and have a non-slip surface - TÜV tested.

The sealing of the maintenance plates between the tanks and the concrete wall creates a dry installation pit.

  • Jig supports

Our tanks can be fitted with jig supports in order to place jigs (crossbeams) precisely positioned on the tank rims.

They are designed to be chemical-resistant and robust.

The exact design of the jigsupports depends on the type of jig.

  • Chemical-resistant covers

In certain applications (autoclave pickling, high-temperature baths), the use of tank covers may be advisable.

The lids are designed with a chemical-resistant surface, whereby the customer's requirements determine the lid design.

The lids can be operated manually or with electromechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic actuators.

  • Sloping tank bottom

For special applications, KVK tanks can be designed with an inclined tank bottom.

This is often required for processes where an increased amount of sludge or solids is to be expected. This makes it easier to empty and clean the tanks.

The exact design is customised depending on the application.

  • Tube bundle separators

When pickling tube bundles, it is important that permanent contact points between the tubes are avoided to prevent pickling faults.

A very effective accessory is the KVK bundle separator, in which the tube bundles are inserted into the bundle divider to minimise contact points on the pipes.

The bundle separators are very robust and are resistant to the chemicals in the pickling baths. They are simply inserted or hooked into the tanks.

  • beizbehälter

    Acid-resistant support angles

KVK tanks can be fitted with acid-resistant support angles to support gratings or maintenance walkway plates. These can be fitted along the outside of the tank at the desired height.

  • Mobile weir for efficient surface cleaning of pickling baths

The mobile weir from KVK Koerner is ideal for the rapid removal of surface contaminants such as grease and oil in all baths.

  • Pump sump for residual emptying

Pump sumps have proven to be very effective for emptying tanks completely.

Thess are integrated into the bottomof the tank and fitted with a lid that can be easily removed for emptying.

  • Integrated overflow weir

For the continuous removal of floating impurities from the bath surface.

  • Integrated suction channels / push-pull systems

For extracting the vapours over the tank surface
