KVK heating plates / heat exchangers

The KVK heating plates have been specially developed for use under the most demanding conditions and offer a reliable solution for heating or cooling chemicals in various pre-treatment baths.

Functionality and design

The heating plates utilise natural convection to circulate the medium in the tank. Cooler medium enters through inlet openings and is heated by the chimney effect, which enables efficient mixing of the baths without external pumps. Depending on the requirement, the heating plates work with hot water or steam. Heat transfer through acid and alkali-resistant plastic hoses ensures efficient heat dissipation and a long service life of the components.

Installation and maintenance

The heating plates can be installed flexibly on the front or long sides of the pickling tanks, which simplifies planning and installation and allows the tank size to be customised as required.

• KVK heating plate on the front side: The KVK heating plates are installed in pickling tanks on one or both end walls, which shortens the usable length of the pickling tank (depending on the required bath temperature).
• KVK heating plate on the long side: If it is not possible to lengthen the pickling tank, the KVK heating plate can also be installed on a longitudinal wall of the pickling tank.

The absence of moving parts such as circulation pumps minimises maintenance requirements and ensures low operating costs. Automatic temperature controls ensure constant performance and reliable operation.
